SEED - Student Experiential Education Development

The S.E.E.D. program works in conjunction with the Hands on Science program to create hands on extensions to classroom learning in the areas of science, social studies and teambuilding.


 

Science Extension Activities  

-Schoolyard gardens, all grades
-Animals in Winter, kindergarten winter theme extension
-Bugfest, first grade Butterflies extension
-Harris Forest Preserve Field Trip, fifth grade Ecology and Ecosystems extension
   
Social Studies Activities  
-Lyon Farm, third grade pioneering extension
-Little White School Museum, third grade pioneering extension
-Neshnabe’k Village at Hoover Forest Preserve, fourth grade Native American extension
   
Teambuilding Activities
